The Little Tree House

Hello everyone, it makes me very happy to greet you through Hive's Worldmappin travel community. Today I want to share with you what was the climax of the adventure in our recent trip to Colonia Tovar, Aragua State of Venezuela, the small town that preserves architecture and traditions of colonial Germany in Venezuela. Near the end of the day we discovered what was our favorite place in that municipality, the Casita del Arbol, a very high place in the town where it is easier to get there in rustic and where you can see the beautiful landscape of the surrounding hills.

Hoy quiero compartirles lo que fue el clímax de la aventura en nuestro reciente viaje a la Colonia Tovar, Estado Aragua de Venezuela, el pequeño pueblo que conserva arquitectura y tradiciones de la Alemania colonial en Venezuela. Casi finalizando el día descubrimos lo que fue nuestro lugar favorito en ese municipio, la Casita del Árbol, un lugar muy elevado del pueblo donde es más fácil llegar en rústico y donde se puede ver el hermoso paisaje de las colinas que lo rodean.

In Colonia Tovar we entered all the places of interest for free, and the only one that charged admission was this one, but it is as if it were free, you only have to pay one dollar, but there is no point of sale, it has to be cash with local currency or U.S. dollars. As you can see in the picture, the place is still adorned with Christmas decorations, you are greeted by a big Santa Claus, a giant bear and a gingerbread cookie mañeco with a beautiful classic colonial facade. You can eat, drink, and of course enter and take pictures in the main attraction, the tree house.

En la Colonia Tovar entramos gratis a todos los lugares de interés, y el único que cobraba entrada era este, pero es como si fuera gratis, solo deben pagar un dólar, pero no hay punto de venta, tiene que ser efectivo con moneda local o dólares americanos. Como pueden ver en la fotografía, el lugar sigue adornado con decoraciones navideñas, te recibe un gran Santa Claus, un oso gigante y un un mañeco de galleta de jengibre con una hermosa fachada colonial clásica. En el lugar se puede comer, beber, y por su puesto entrar y fotografiarse en la atracción principal, la casita del árbol.

The colonial house where we all arrived is a beauty, I did not have access at that time to the inside of it, but I did have access to its surroundings and it was a dreamy place to sit and eat cookies with hot chocolate, in fact we did it later. On the other hand, the tree house was located after the backyard and as we went in high season we had a very long queue to enter, and it was also a slow queue, and everyone wants to see the house, but also take pictures in it. So we took the opportunity to stop by the gazebo while we waited, with one of the most beautiful views that day.

La casa colonial donde todos llegamos es una belleza, no tuve acceso en ese momento al interior de la misma, pero sí a sus al rededores y era un lugar de ensueño para sentarse y comer galletas con chocolate caliente, de hecho lo hicimos luego. Por otra parte, la casita del árbol se encontraba luego del patio trasero y como fuimos en temporada alta hicimos una cola muy larga para entrar, y también era una cola lenta, y es que todos quieren ver la casa, pero también tomarse fotografías en ella. Así que aprovechamos de pasar por el mirador mientras esperábamos, con una de las vistas más bonitas de ese día.

Finally it was our turn for the Tree House. It was literally a small wooden house in a big tree and to get to it you had to go over a suspension bridge, my mother-in-law didn't like the idea, so she stayed at the table drinking a nice hot chocolate, but my mom was up for the adventure (although with some nerves). A maximum of 20 people could pass together, so someone controlled it at the entrance of the bridge. We bravely walked across it and took pictures of ourselves on it.

Finalmente llegó nuestro turno para la Casita del Árbol. Literalmente era un pequeña casa de madera en un gran árbol y para llegar a ella había que pasar por un puente colgante, a mi suegra no le gustó la idea, así que ella se quedó en la mesa tomándose un rico chocolate caliente, pero mi mamá sí se prestó a la aventura (aunque con algo de nervios). Podían pasar en conjunto hasta un máximo de 20 personas, así que alguien lo controlaba en la entrada del puente. Con mucha valentía lo transitamos y nos fotografiamos en el.

Despite the amount of people this was a dream trip, a long tour of many places of interest in one day, and I am glad that the Casita del Arbol was one of the last destinations. All that was left was to enjoy the sunset while we waited for our jeeps to return to town, although there was still one last place to visit. I forgot to tell you above that after paying the dollar entrance fee you enter through a corridor directly to the backyard of this wonderful place, so the exit was through the main façade, where I could take one last picture to say goodbye to a perfect moment...

A pesar de la cantidad de gente este fue un viaje de ensueño, un largo recorrido por muchos lugares de interés en un solo día, y me alegra que la Casita del Árbol haya sido uno de los últimos destinos. Ya solo nos quedaba apreciar el atardecer mientras esperábamos nuestros jeep para volver al pueblo, aunque aún faltaba un último lugar por visitar. Olvidé decirles arriba que luego de pagar el dólar de entrada se entra por un corredor directamente a la patio trasero de este maravilloso lugar, así que la salida sí fue por la fachada principal, donde pude tomar una última fotografía para despedirnos de un momento perfecto...
