Tal cual como la maldición que sale a buscar a sus víctimas, esta película me vino a buscar semanas antes de su estreno. Pocas veces un tráiler me llama tanto la atención como para programar la fecha de estreno y ser de los primeros en ver la película. Esta vez fue así, las malévolas sonrisas de los personajes capturaron mi atención como seguidor de películas que terror. ¿A poco no me veo feliz en esta fotografía de portada?.
Like the curse that goes out looking for its victims, this film came looking for me weeks before its release. Rarely does a trailer grab my attention enough to schedule the release date and be among the first to see the film. This time it did, the malevolent smiles of the characters captured my attention as a follower of horror films. Don't I look happy in this cover photo?.
En mi opinión, es una película buena. Es muy parecida a otros donde el demonio va volviendo locas a las personas y las posee para llevarse sus almas y buscar una nueva víctima, pero esta tiene el detalle de la sonrisa, es la característica que las distingue de otras maldiciones. No tiene grandes sustos, de hecho todo se basa en ver a una protagonista que parece ser loca ante los ojos del mundo, ya que es la única que puede ver a la entidad que lleva a las personas a la muerte. No sé si sean cosas mías, pero nunca me aburrió, por eso la recomiendo.
In my opinion, it is a good movie. It is very similar to others where the demon is driving people crazy and possesses them to take their souls and look for a new victim, but this has the detail of the smile, is the feature that distinguishes them from other curses. It has no big scares, in fact everything is based on seeing a protagonist who seems to be crazy in the eyes of the world, since she is the only one who can see the entity that leads people to death. I don't know if it's just me, but it never bored me, that's why I recommend it.
Nunca supe por qué la sonrisa, de hecho realmente no se le ve la verdadera cara al demonio detrás de esta maldición, siempre toma la forma de otras personas; habría sido interesante saber por qué esa marca en su rostro, ¿será simple descaro?. Creo que se podría hacer una segunda entrega para ver más allá detrás de estos sucesos. Es una trama disfrutable, pero no hay un origen, y mucho menos hubo un fin, la protagonista no se salva al final. No me hice fan, pero realmente espero que puedan revelar un poco más más adelante.
I never knew why the smile, in fact you don't really see the real face of the demon behind this curse, he always takes the form of other people; it would have been interesting to know why that mark on his face, could it be simple impudence? I think a second installment could be made to see more behind these events. It's an enjoyable plot, but there is no origin, let alone was there an end, the protagonist is not saved in the end. I didn't become a fan, but I really hope they can reveal a bit more later on.
En conclusión, no la van a amar, no la van a odiar, se asustarán un par de veces, pero no se van a aburrir, creo que es una película chévere cuando quieras ver algo de misterio. Me gustó, pero no era lo que esperaba, creo que Netflix sigue teniendo poca suerte con el argumento de películas de terror que comparte, siempre falta algo que las haga grandes. In conclusion, you won't love it, you won't hate it, you will be scared a couple of times, but you won't get bored, I think it's a cool movie when you want to see some mystery. I liked it, but it wasn't what I expected, I think Netflix continues to have little luck with the horror movie storyline it shares, there's always something missing that makes them great.
