I’ve always believed this is everyone’s responsibility. I know there are people who make a real effort to keep spaces clean, whether outdoors or even indoors. I hiked up the mountain on Sunday and had to throw away trash left by some guys who’d been eating up there—stuff that could even start a fire in this heat—and today at the gym, I picked up a candy wrapper someone had dropped. Still, I wonder if it really makes a difference, since a few people can’t do all that much. I’ve visited other cities and noticed there’s more awareness in some places.
