I think everyone at Hive knows that I love music and that my soul is fed by every concert we experience. They are usually weekend experiences, one on, one off, but those who follow me will know that we have had three straight weeks of work, without rest, and our institution managed to overwhelm us in every way. It is with great joy that I write these lines after our successful final concert today, and these are the first hours of a few well-deserved days of rest, so I will tell you our little secret to survive three weeks of work... The Coffee ❤️

Maybe the Hivians from Caracas recognize this place, it is called El Centro and it is strategically located in the center of the city, in the Sambil La Candelaria shopping center. As the days went by and with the closeness with my fellow singers began to leave activities in the afternoon where we could drain our sorrows, but not in alcohol, I did not get together with those 🤣 if I am present I assure you that we will always end up in a Coffee Shop. Although it is called El Centro, it is known as Pan de Tata, and it is a small but beautiful pastry shop that offers one of the richest coffees in town. This unplanned visit began in the company of my wife and one of the sopranos, but it wasn't long before another of my tenor colleagues arrived.

These particular photos are from Wednesday of the week that just ended. I accept it, I have sinned, I drank my coffee without sugar, but I still accompanied it with a dessert. I don't like to betray myself and I don't like to justify myself, but those were some rough days. Concerts are beautiful, but as in any job there are moments that are often very stressful. For days I talked to my wife about what was wrong, to try to deal with it, but it's interesting to hear the perspective of our friends, especially if it's outside the workplace, or in our case, outside the concert hall. This coffee break was the second in a week where each day we ended up with a different group of friends at different places in Caracas, but it was my favorite, and I didn't find a vanilla latte as spectacular as at Pan de Tata.

This place is located at the north entrance of the mall, so although it has some air conditioning you can also feel the heat from the street, but it is still very comfortable. In the middle of the third week we were very tired and as gentlemen that we are we decided to have a coffee in the afternoon and it was very good for us, it really cleared the sleep that remains after lunch, besides, it was the perfect place to talk for a while and that sharing made us go refreshed the next day. We are always together when we are in the productions, but we can't really talk much when we have rehearsals with the symphony orchestra, so for days, coffee time became our favorite time of the day.

In fact I didn't take so many pictures in this place, this was an afternoon to clear my mind and take advantage of the quality time with my friends, besides, since I hadn't tasted a sweet for a while I felt in heaven for a few moments, and although I know I sinned with sugar I don't regret it, I just have to continue with my discipline of keeping it out of my diet as much as I can. There is nothing a coffee won't fix, and even more so when we are accompanied by the right people. This place may not be the place to sit and work, there is noise from outside, but it is perfect to use our circle of friends as a therapy and solve work issues 😅 Thanks for reading, supporting and for the love, I wish you all a happy start of the week 🙏

Creo que todos en Hive saben que amo la música y que mi alma se alimenta de cada concierto que vivimos. Generalmente suelen ser experiencias de fin de semana, uno sí, uno no, pero quienes me siguen sabrán que hemos tenido tres semanas seguidas de trabajo, sin descanso, y nuestra institución logró agobiarnos en todos los sentidos. Con mucha alegría escribo estas líneas luego de nuestro exitoso concierto final de hoy, y es que estas son las primeras horas de unos merecidos días de descanso, así que paso a contarles nuestro pequeño secreto para sobrevivir a tres semanas corridas de trabajo... El Café ❤️

Puede ser que los Hivians caraqueños reconozcan este lugar, se llama El Centro y está estratégicamente ubicada en el centro de la ciudad, en el Centro Comercial Sambil La Candelaria. Con el paso de los días y con la cercanía con mis compañeros cantantes comenzaron a salir actividades en la tarde donde podíamos drenar nuestras penas, pero no en alcohol, no me junté con esos 🤣 si yo estoy presente les aseguro que terminaremos siempre en un Coffee Shop. Aunque se llama El Centro, es conocido como Pan de Tata, y es una pequeña pero hermosa pastelería que ofrece uno de los cafés más ricos de la ciudad. Esta visita imprevista comenzó en compañía de mi esposa y una de las sopranos, pero no tardó mucho en llegar otro de mis colegas tenores.

Estas fotos en particular son del Miércoles de la semana que acaba de terminar. Lo acepto, he pecado, tomé mi café sin azúcar, pero igual lo acompañé de un postre. No me gusta traicionarme a mí mismo y menos justificarme, pero vaya que fueron días rudos. Los conciertos son hermosos, pero como en todo trabajo hay momentos que suelen ser muy estresantes. Por días hablé con mi esposa de lo que estaba mal, para tratar de lidiar con ello, pero es interesante escuchar la perspectiva de nuestros amigos, especialmente si es fuera del lugar de trabajo, o en nuestra caso, fuera de la sala de conciertos. Esta escapada para tomarnos un café fue la segunda de una semana donde cada día terminamos con un grupo de amigos distintos en diversos locales de Caracas, pero fue mi preferido, y es que no encontré un Latte Vainilla tan espectacular como en Pan de Tata.

Esta lugar se encuentra en la entrada norte del centro comercial, así que aunque tiene algo de aire acondicionado también se siente el calor de la calle, pero sigue siendo muy cómodo. A mitad de la tercera semana estábamos muy fatigados y como señores que somos decidimos tomar un café en las tardes y nos caía muy bien, realmente despejaba el sueño que queda luego del almuerzo, además, fue el lugar perfecto para hablar un buen rato y ese compartir nos hizo ir renovados al día siguiente. Siempre estamos juntos en los montajes de las obras, pero realmente poco podemos hablar cuando tenemos ensayo con la orquesta sinfónica, así que por días, el momento del café llegó a ser el momento preferido del día.

De hecho no tomé tantas fotos en este lugar, esa fue una tarde para despejar mi mente y aprovechar el tiempo de calidad con mis amigos, además que como tenía tiempo sin probar un dulce me sentí en el cielo por unos instantes, y aunque sé que pequé con el azúcar no me arrepiento, solo debo seguir con mi disciplina de mantenerla fuera de mi alimentación lo más que pueda. No hay nada que un café no arregle, y más cuando nos acompañan las personas correctas. Este lugar quizás no sea como para sentarse a trabajar, hay ruido de afuera, pero es perfecto para usar a nuestro circulo de amigos como una terapia y resolver asuntos laborales 😅 Gracias por leer, apoyar y por el cariño, les deseo a todos un feliz inicio de semana 🙏
