Those who know me know how much I enjoy a weekend cooped up at home, very sedentary watching movies with my girl or maybe listening to good music while we organize our house. We come from a dream season that allowed me to have many weekends to myself, but even though I long for it the duty of a musician has started to call me again, because if there is something that defines our lives is rehearsing from Monday to Friday to then present concerts on the weekends.
It is with great pride that I work in the most successful musical institution in my country, and with the arrival of February our anniversary month has begun, and believe me it is a lot, a lot of work. My choral group is in the assembly of an exquisite repertoire of international level to present it in Europe in March, that should be our only goal, but the commitments of February are bigger than us. We have many concerts scheduled with the orchestras, visits of personalities from the world of music and small musical shows, singing master classes with international teachers, internal evaluation and the recording of a new album, all this before March, and with much sincerity I dare to say that these carnival days will be our last leisure time at home for the next couple of months 馃檭 Although I have rehearsal in a while, and that today is Saturday...

The kids you see in the pictures above are our youth wind ensemble, a small but mighty group made up of boys who play trumpet and trombone, and they have been our faithful companions since the weekend at the music shows. We have received visits from artists such as James Morrison and Frank Quintero, so the inspiration to get up and leave my house the following weekends is very big, as well as an institutional and personal commitment, because I worked all my life to live this way today. Making music doesn't even feel like a job, it's like I'm getting paid to do my hobby on a daily basis... There are definitely seasons more complex than others, but I know that Saturdays and Sundays of eating pizza in bed watching series on Netflix with my girl will come again 馃檹
