The pianist
There are things that can not be explained,
you just have to accept them and live with them
One of those things are the ways in which feelings
affect the music that my fingers give off on the piano
Since I was little I played the piano with feeling and passion
I am comforted by the melodies that my fingers produce
by dancing on the black and white keys.
But since that person has been seen alone in the gray
I can not listen to my music
there is only spectral silence and darkness
When I play, I only see myself in a gray and dark box, silent and dead
My fingers move mechanically, lifeless, purposeless
It is a sad and melancholic sound that tears the soul of the listener
Sometimes, sometimes, she looks at me with reproach and disappointment.
But then he laughs and gives me a smile
In those few seconds, playing happily, with a spark of amusement,
I see myself as a child, playing tricks on the house
In those moments, my music returns to color, meaning and purpose
A song alive, warm, comforting. During those seconds I can live fully
Now, every time I play try to relive those memories of summer, happy and warm
I imagine walking with her through the port of the city, taken from her hand to feel safe,
that soft and delicate hand that holds me firmly and securely
I remember that moment when we watched the sunset,
the sun on that occasion was so beautiful and majestic
After walking the sand of the beach,
feeling the cold waves crashing with my small feet
I revive that memory and I feel that I can be reborn from the ashes
like a phoenix
My fingers dance with joy, the piano jumps of joy with that mischievous
melody that represents those memories of summer
My face contorts in a smile and I close my eyes to feel more strongly
that feeling that emanates from me
When I remember, I feel something very strong in my heart
I feel the need to tell the public
"I'm here! This is me, so look at me!"
I thank that person for making me live again,
for taking care of me and making me feel safe, without fear or worry
Thanks to her I can stand in front of the stage
Thanks to her I can start my adventure,
follow the path to which I am destined
I do not ask God to give it back to me,
nor to guide me to the right path
I just... I want it when I get there, she's there
so I can tell you
"I've really lived."
