From the screenshots you posted, the character design looks gorgeous (the eyes really stand out), but if you say the animation feels somewhat choppy and the story is so different from the novel... I'll think twice before watching it. It's infuriating when adaptations don't respect the essence of the original. Thanks for the warning and the detailed review!
