I haven't seen it, but I've always heard wonderful things about it, especially the duo formed by Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. That's already a guarantee of a great film! And yes, I totally agree with the idea that love and passion aren't just for twenty-somethings. The fact that the scenes with the children disrupt the rhythm... well, that's a risk when adapting, isn't it? But if the central story is as powerful as you say, I guess it's worth the effort. I'll definitely look for it! Thanks for the reminder of this classic.
