If we don’t earning money while we sleep, we will work on our entire life just to survive. With this, I start to work towards building a stream of passive income. Yeah, “passive income" might sound like a fantasy for others, for me I believe it might be attainable (with fingers cross), in a platforms like Hive.
Now, I'm not promising anything since I didn’t achieve anything like it myself. Therefore no promises of you'll be living free of debt and worries tomorrow just by going in Hive. But, with the existing curation program it offer. There is some pretty interesting avenues for generating income without you trading time for a penny.
Think about it buying a handful amount of HIVE and powering in up and earn a fraction of the reward HIVE or HBD in every vote you cast. And these tokens, can be traded, invested, or even used within the Hive ecosystem itself.
Staking / Savings
Yeah, one of the coolest things about Hive is the concept of "staking." Basically, lock up some of our HIVE tokens, and in return, we are able to earn more HIVE over time. It's like putting our money in a high-yield savings account, but way more interesting! This is a great way to passively grow our holdings.
I forget to mention, Hive is beyond staking, it’s a blogging platform. A content itself can become a source of active income. If a blogposts or photos get an ample amount of upvotes, you earn a fraction from the rewards. However, unlike setting up a blog of your own, those posts on Hive don’t earn for years to come.
Now, let’s be realistic, building a significant passive income stream on Hive may takes time, risks and effort. You need to buy large amount of Hive for HP, create quality content (active income) and engage with the community (active income). There is no easy way but, with consistent effort, some risk and hard work, Hive can definitely be a powerful tool in my journey real freedom.
