Evening comes upon us

And time begins to creep

The mind can never sleep

Ah, why must it be thus?

You fall into a heap

We know what comes to reap

Now the young one comes to fuss

Eyes faded, white and cold

Ruby snarl could chew through gold

Alas, it thinks your life is cheap

Now this world begins to fold

Making cowards of the bold

Making angels in the fog

Making devils in the bog
