Greetings to the Afritunes community. I hope that this post finds you all well. I'm excited to be writing this post and to welcome you to the Afritunes community.

The #ladiesofhive recent question inspired me to sing this song, 'This Life Is Beautiful', for Week 88 of Afritunes.

Those of us who remember WALE ADENUGA's "This Life" soap opera will definitely remember the song.

Before I sang this cover, and even when I was singing it, I was thinking about my deceased cousin. Saying that she is deceased still feels strange; my heart yearns to see her again, and I sometimes wish we could go back in time to do something different that would make her stay alive and hearty.

This Life

As we progress through life, we often find ourselves accumulating possessions and achievements. These material possessions can provide us with comfort and security, but they also carry the weight of responsibility and expectations. It is natural to feel a sense of satisfaction and pride as we accumulate wealth and success, but it is important to remember that everything we have will one day be taken away.

Life is both beautiful and sad. It is filled with moments of joy and fulfillment, but the weight of mortality is always present. The accumulation of possessions and accomplishments can bring temporary satisfaction, but it cannot fill the void left by the absence of permanence. Life is a journey, and it is through embracing the complexities and impermanence that we can truly appreciate its beauty

LYRICS

This life is beautiful.

But everything seems to be falling apart...

PS:I couldn't find the lyrics of the song; the lyrics I wrote here was what I assumed to be the correct lyrics. So, please, if you see any errors, please let me know in the comment section. Thank you.
