Before the wedding, in Aceh had one custom called "Duek Pakat". Pakat Duek is derived from the two words "Duek" means sitting; and "Pakat" means that deliberation. "Duek pakat" means sitting the deliberations between the families who will carry out the marriage receptions.
The purpose of the "Duek Paka"t it is for discussion of related activities is primarily about the reception needs funds to be issued and who will donate the funds needs.
However, in my place, who was involved in the "Duek Pakat" not only family members, but the whole village community, be it an element of youth as well as society in General.
Everyone who attended/invitation in may donated the Pakat Duek, be it in the form of supplies, such as rice, fish, egg and others or contribute money, usually a minimum of Rp 50,000.
