The last 24 hrs have been one Día terrible for me and some of my family.
Yesterday I found out that my complex has been sold, the lady in the office who had become my friend was summarily fired with no more notice than we had about the sale.
Then this travesty today.
My Niece Michele who I used to live with, had gone to visit their kids and grands in Tulsa Oklahoma (along with her quadriplegic husband of course) and had a great time the whole week. They left Tulsa Tuesday night, and he began to get sick, so they are now holed up in a motel hoping to get out before the effects of the hurricane overtake them.
My other niece who lives in Augusta and has only recently returned to our lives, went to court today, trying to get her dead beat ex-husband to honor previous court decrees regarding child support etc...he somehow got the judge to reverse all those past decrees, so that he owes NOTHING from the past, and has reduced the monthly amount that HE ISN'T PAYING ANYWAY, and threatened to try and take custody of their now 14 yr old son, who hates his father for the hell he has put them all through.
The dad said he wanted to take the now 20 yr old Daughter to dinner (it's her birthday today) and asked her to call her 14 yr old brother to join them.
When he went to meet the daughter, she said she was going to get the brother.
The dad switched tracks, gave her some money and left going back TO HIS MOMMY in Tennessee. The daughter asked him to call her brother and apologize, he said he would, but he hasn't.
