This brother was the last of my mother's children by her first marriage. All my siblings are significantly older than me.
Of course I love them, but I was never close to anyone but Linda, my only whole sister (we share both parents) but time, health, her predelection with religion have all conspired to drive a wedge between us, plus the fact that she is back in our hometown 3 hrs drive south.
We've encouraged her to come up here for a visit of any duration, we would go get her and take her back when she was ready, but now she just doesn't want to leave her house unless it's a Dr appointment or getting groceries.
