I found this in the parking lot as I was loading out for the gig

On Monday, Memorial Day 2023 I had my first paid music gig in nearly 3 yrs

I was set up in that right corner just at the edge of the image↑

The day was really uneventful, as many of the residents had gone out with family members: there were 13 persons in attendance, but those that were there enjoyed my antics.
I could tell this by the smiling faces and tapping feets!

It always puzzles me when some of the women, sitting there smiling and keeping time, will stop doing that and look away if I walk towards them singing.
A friend commented on You Know Where that "it's because it's awkward and we don't like it"
I try to take great pains and not make anyone feel uncomfortable, iow if I can see she isn't liking it, I don't get any closer. If she is WITH someone, I don't go there at all.
Most of the time, because I use a wireless headset mic, I can walk around singing, and I find "the little old ladies in wheelchairs" like it very much having someone singing TO them

Then there are those who, after I've sung TO them, grab me and wanna dance

So now, I'm trying to decide if I want to go back whole hog into contacting my old clients and let them know I am "back in business?"

Ah.... the life of an old tired worn out musician ha ha.
