And so after a very trying day,
After many heartaches and pains,
It is now my task to try to rest,
And seek some inner peace again.
This is not an easy thing for me to do,
As inner demons I have many,
But methinks we all have a few,
So I know I am not alone in my cranny.
Try to keep your mind clear, so you can see;
The roads ahead are fraught with pitfalls,
But so are they paved with beauty and love,
If you with beauty and love become enthralled.
I write this verse on the fly,
Because my bed is calling and sleep is nigh.
