Do you actually use any of the applications for anything? i was curious and the same thing goes for ethereum? Do you use it for anything of signficance?
ETC - No. There are very few Dapps anyway, let alone useful ones.
ETH - Yes. I find lending protocols and certain DeFi platforms like CRV and Yearn very useful.
I evaluate the future potential of a blockchain based on the fundamentals and that is the only reason why I am hopeful for ETC. If nothing better comes along and the crypto community keeps growing maybe someone will start valuing immutability. Just a hunch, nothing more.
As for Hive, I have tried to explain my reasoning why I love it in this blog post a few months back. I am aware that a lot of older members have some valid reasons for doubting the direction Hive is taking now, but I come from the marketing niche and I know that newcomers don't care about those things.
Splinterlands is a great example of my whole point here. If someone has a vision and an idea they can just come and build it without asking anyone for permission. While doing so they need to invest in Hive power which brings value to early investors. A very fair tradeoff that you will rarely find on other blockchains. The best part is that this "investment" can always be refunded if the project fails and your idea gets rejected.
Unlike other blockchains out there Hive's zero-fee transactions make it a lot more versatile and I can easily see it becoming the home of blockchain gaming, various online communities, and even a web-shop hub in the not-so-distant future.
