WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
There are several countries in the world with bad governance and some with good governance. Now it doesn't matter if the government is good or bad, but what matters is the system of government across the world.
Don't expect that the government will help you become rich. The government doesn't have a design that will make you rich without collecting part of the wealth from you and regulating your wealth to dance to their music tune.
For those of us who live in countries with bad governance, stop waiting till you vote out the bad government and vote in the good one before you start carrying out conscious steps for a better future.

Your mentality and confessions are very important in changing your life and destiny for good. You need to have the right mentality by seeing the right picture of the future in your mind. Make some conscious efforts to confess them. As you confess these positive thoughts, you will attract the thoughts to come into being physically. It might take time, but it will become a reality if you remain consistent and focus.
Your destiny and future lies in your hands and not in the hands of any government. Make up your mind to be so rich and influential that the government cannot do without you. Work on your mentality. Start looking out for needs in your capacity and start meeting them.
Being poor is a choice. If you refuse to be poor, you can't be poor. Start taking steps and nothing can keep you poor if you choose not to be poor. It's only a matter of time. Let nothing make you afraid. Don't worry about your fathers and how poor they were. Go beyond the limits. Learn to think about others. Make your environment better. Do not worry about the government. Form an empire of like minded people. Learn to also inspire and support the people in your empire. Soon you will become a nation in your country.
