Finally we have the finalists for the 2017/2018 UEFA Champions league season. It happens to be that Real Madrid has made it once again to the finals.
It promises to be an exciting contest because the both teams have the arsenals to put down any team at any time.
Liverpool on the other hand broke the record of the team with the highest goals scored in the champions league season. Liverpool lost by 4 goals to 2 to AS Roma, but defeated Roma a week ago by 5 goals to 2.
Liverpool progressed with an aggregate of 7 goals to 6 in total. Real Madrid progressed with an aggregate of 4 goals to 3 after defeating Bayern Munich by 2 goals to 1 in Germany and playing out a 2 - 2 draw in Spain.
If I were to go by sentiments, I will give the trophy to Real Madrid. I love the players and I love the coach, Zinedine Zidane. He has proven to be a world class coach with his current achievements at Real Madrid.
Real Maldrid haven't been at the best form this season, but have managed to find themselves in the final. Real Madrid however edged out top contenders for the title.
They edged out Paris Saint German FC (PSG) in the round of 16 stage, edged out Juventus at the quarter final stage, edged out Bayern Munich at the semi final stage. I would say that they deserve to win the title.
Football like I will always say, is not mathematics. A very good team can be beaten by an unknown team. It has happened several times in football and it can happen again. May the best team win and I hope it is Real Madrid.
