"Is Conscious Living... Good or Bad?" dtube@dtube

Hello Steemians and Dtubians,

Today I was reading a few articles about "Conscious Living" and began to wonder if I thought it was good or bad. I understand about "Dwelling too much in the past" and I understand about "Dreaming too much about the Future" and I cam to a conclusion that I agree with conscious living about 80% of the time. Let me explain why.

I think that if we, as human beings, dwell too much into the past (especially about things that went wrong or a bad decision we made) that we will let our life pass by without notice and then begin to have thoughts about where did all our time go. I also agree that if we live too much in dreaming about a possible future that we will also end up in the same situation.

Living a daily routine can also be bad. It places us in the sub-conscious way of living without us even realizing that we are doing it. It can cause others to feel like we have lost our love and emotions. It will give signs to others that we don't care as much as we use to and it can give a perception to others that we are more robotic than human. So it is a good idea to change anything that seems like a daily routine. Like grabbing the briefcase on the way out of the house in a hurry, kissing the wife on the cheek and saying "I Love You" and dashing out the door daily. Instead, wake up a little earlier, have breakfast with the wife, sit and talk about the plans for the day and have that amazing quality time with them.

I believe that reflecting on certain moments in the past often is a good thing. I think that about 10% of our life should be about reflecting on these beautiful, happy and positive memories is a good thing for our mind, body, and soul. I think it will help us to renew old flames, rekindle special moments and make us much stronger in our convictions and belief systems.

I also believe that about 10% of our life should be given to dreaming about our future. But, I also believe that if we don't make plans and set goals to make that future a reality. That it can be a wasted dream and a waste of our time in life. So dream yes, but, make plans to achieve that future. Set goals for yourself to tackle a little part of that future day by day or step by step. I think this is what they were talking about when they talk about conscious living. Not to completely live in the now but relive the good times of the past and dream, take action and set goals for the future.

This is my conclusion. 80% of the time we should live in the "Today". 10% of the time reflect on the good positive memories of the past and 10% dream and make plans for our future. So 80-20 is what I do each day and I think that this is a perfect combination of all.

Peace and Godspeed everybody. May every journey you embark on be successful and continue on for generations to come. Always love yourself because you deserve it. You are a miracle of life and if you're going to prosper in anything, prosper in peace, happiness, and love always first.
