UpVote Spam Bots & Copy-Paste Spammers - It doesn't Work Guys - Try Real Comments

Hello Steemians and Dtubians,

I made this video last night but was so tired I just relaxed for the rest of the evening and decided to upload it this morning. So, here is the short story about this video. I went to a park yesterday and was going to shoot some video about this subject because it seems to be happening a lot lately. The first park was closed and so I went to another park to shoot my video. Upon arriving I noticed that the "Skate Park" was all taped off with yellow tape so I asked the Police officers what had happened. They told me that someone didn't like the skate park so they lite it on fire. So I made a video about that instead at that time.

I came home and still wanted to make my video about the "UpVote Spam Bots & Copy-Paste Spammers" so I went ahead and recorded this video. later in the afternoon. And here it is the video I originally was going to shoot.

Let me first say that I understand why most of the people here on @steemit and @dtube do this. They are trying to gain popularity on the platforms and do it quickly. Unfortunately, I am afraid they are doing more harm to their profile than good. Having said that, let's get into what is happening.

So, as of lately, I have noticed a lot of comments that read "I upvoted and followed you. Please upvote and follow back" or "I upvoted your post. If you like, you'll be able to comment, upvote & follow my post, please". Now, I don't mind people trying to gain popularity on the platforms. But what I do think is that they are going about it in the wrong way and trying to do it to fast and only hurting themselves in the end. People think of this as

"SPAM"

and people on the internet

"DO NOT LIKE SPAM"

Now, I always first check to see if they actually did upvote me. Most of the time they did but sometimes they didn't. If they didn't upvote my post, I know it is a piece of "Spam" and I ignore it most of the time. Then I will go to their profile to see what activity is happening on their profile. Now, about 50% of the time, they haven't even started posting yet so, what am I going to "UpVote" anyway when I get there. So I know this is a piece of spam as well. But, if they have been posting on a regular basis, if they have followed me and if everything looks legitimate like their reputation isn't below 25 or negative zero, I generally will follow them and upvote one of their posts. I do like to support when and where I can.

There are many ways to build relations with other people rather than go around "Spamming" post and profiles all day. But, some people are just impatient I guess or they just don't care or they start to feel desperate. In any case, it isn't going to work my friends. Not even a little bit I promise you.

Rather than spend a lot of energy, effort and time doing something that is negative and disrespectful. Try taking all of that energy and creating some...

"GREAT CONTENT Instead"

Like pictures of nature, animals or whatever you seem to have a genuine interest in. Here, let me give you some tips on how to connect with people better and get people to notice what you are doing instead of them "DownVoting" your "Spammy" comments and ruining your experience here on #steemit and #dtube.

So here are things that I would suggest to all of you who are doing this or anyone that is trying to succeed on the platforms to do. Just a little bit of friendly advice from someone who really cares and wants to help.

Post great content: If you have a cellphone. Take some pictures of something nice and post it with a nice little story to go along with it or something inspirational like a quote. If you have the ability to make a video. Make an interesting video about whatever. I am sure someone is bound to like it. But, create great content always.

Try connecting with like-minded people: If you're into "Photography, go follow others who like photography as well. Upvote their post. Leave a "Genuine, Real Comment" (Not some spammy crap) and after a few times of doing this. Ask them if they would be interested in seeing what you do as well.

This third one I didn't include in my video but it is a great way to get noticed online.

Join a #group or a #community or several on @steemit or @dtube: By joining #groups or #communities on the different platforms here, you will be able to connect with many people who have the same interest as you and the groups or communities will give you their support. This is a great way to gain popularity on the platforms.
