ESCHATOLOGICAL OR END TIMES REVELATION

 The Last Days Foretold

A. Book of Matthew 24:3-13 tells us the ff.

• 1. An increase of Jezebel spirit that will deceive many through false prophecy, great signs & religious compromise (vv 4-5,10-11,24)
• 2. Perilous times will come where people disregard God's Law and commit crimeagainst God and His creations (vv 12, 37-39)
• 3. More famines, catastrophes and warws (vv 6-8)
• 4. Love andaffection of many will grow cold (v 12)
• 5. Believers in Christ will face extreme persecution (v9-10)
• 6. Those who endure until the end will be save (v13)
• 7. Preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations (v 14)

B. Book of 2Timothy 3:1-9

• 1. Men will be lovers of themselves (vv 2-4)

                   a. Covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy without     

                        natural affection, heart twisted ie to cases on the created rather than the creator

                   b. Truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good- tongue twisted                           

                        ie undesciplined mouth

                  c. Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God =Mind twisted ie, dis 

                       obedient/rebellious mind

• 2. vv 5-9 Powerless form of Godliness

                   a. denied Holiness(v5)

                   b. updated Worldliness (v6)

                   c. no knowledge of the truth (v7)

                   d. Resistance of the truth (v8)

                        - depravity of mind

                        - faith without work = Dead Faith

                       - end up in shame
