My visit to Haus des Meeres

Hi guys! Today something a bit different than usual. I want to share some of the pictures from my visit to Haus des Meeres in Wien, Austria. Basically, it is a huge aqua-terra zoo inside a building. There are tons of animals, various species of fish, lizards and even birds. In one moment you feel like you are underwater in another you happen to be in the centre of rainforest. To me it was an amazing experience.

So, sit back, listen to some national geographic music and go on this journey with me.

Beautiful fluorescent corals. They were exposed to UV or blue light – hence the fluorescence.

A cute little shark. Would eat a leg or two without hesitation. But he did have beautiful eyes, don’t you think?

Nemo hiding behind his Anemone house.

Giant shrimp/crab/something hiding in the darkness.

Beautiful corals in pastel colours.

In the rainforest department you were able to meet beautiful birds as well that adorned variety of magnificent colours and patterns.

Such as this little red fella.

Or this turtle on the run.

And last, but not least, something a tad scaly. Here you can see these two Armadillo lizards having a date.
