Narrow Runway (30m) Operation
Max crosswind component at 10m (32.8 ft) height for takeoff and landing is:
Dry Runway
Takeoff 36/34 kts 3, Landing 40 kts 2
Wet Runway
Takeoff 25 kts, Landing 40 kts 2
Snow Covered No Melting 1
Takeoff 25 kts, Landing 35 kts
Flooded Runway
Takeoff 15 kts, Landing 20 kts
Icy Runway
Takeoff 15 kts, Landing 17 kts
- Takeoff and landing on untreated ice or snow should only be attempted when no melting is present.
- Sideslip only (zero crab) landings are not recommended with crosswinds in excess of 17 kts at flaps 15, 20 kts at flaps 30, or 23 kts at flaps 40. This recommendation ensures adequate ground clearance and is based on maintaining adequate control margin.
- Both blended winglets installed
Runway centerline shall be clearly visible in the prevailing conditions.
All landing gear steering, thrust reverser, braking and flight control systems, other than yaw damper, shall be operational.
Note : Consult AFM-DPI for adjustment to V1(MCG) based on 20 foot deviation from runway centerline. Performance is determined by either selecting the Alternate Performance option "30M Wide RWY Operations" (airplanes with soft ware versions earlier than U10.0) or selecting "Conditions" and entering a runway width of less than 45 meters or 147.6ft (airplanes with software versions U10.0 and on).
An adjustment to Maximum Takeoff Weight and Takeoff Speeds may also be required.
Note : Use of an engine thrust derate when allowed will help reduce airplane lateral deviation in the unlikely event of an engine failure below V1 on takeoff.
