Wow! This is such a good explanation on how laws of nature affects our gardening. But I am surprised as you said, set aside and don't touch anything during a full moon. My father and our ancestors advised or used to practice planting coconut trees and other trees during full moon. According to them, this will make coconut not grow so tall and make other fruit trees gave fruits even the trees is not that tall.

But overall I like this information.

NEW MOON - never plant in three days
GROWING MOON - is this the first quarter? time to plant fruits and vegetables
FULL MOON - don't plant
WANING MOON or is this the last quarter? Time to plant root crops or tubers.
