This coming Sunday, July 21, 2019 Philippine Standard time. Our very own pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao will be fighting the undefeated former unified welterweight world champion Keith Thurman. The fight will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Manny pacquiao is now 40 years old and has a record of 61 wins, 7 loses and 2 draw, 39 of his won are by K.O. While his opponent Keith Thurman is 30 years old with 29 wins and 0 loses, 22 out of his 29 games are won by K.O. I expect a good exchange of blows in each other. What I'm worried about is there age difference, we can't deny the fact that age will make our body weaker. Maybe some of us doesn't believe that kind of saying, because some may believe that his body is not weak because he trained his body well. But it will be on a different story if the opponent itself is younger, there will be a difference in stamina and many other factor.
In his match against Juan Manuel Marquez, pacquiao showed us that he can still fight. His punches are still powerful as ever. But as the fight continues, I can see that pacquiao is having a hard time. I dont know if it is because of his stamina or not.
Of course we can't just take for granted the experience he's built all this time. All those experience, his technique and power if you can combine all those factor, winning might just be possible. After all he is the named as the "pound for pound king".
I can't wait to see the two of them cross their fist, and see who will the victor be. Will he win by K.O? Or is it the other way around?
