I definitely know what you mean man! I broke my old phone and didn't get a new one for like 2 weeks, It was so peaceful knowing nothing was just going to pop up and shift my focus. I never realized how attached I was to it also, I kept searching for it when I would get up in the morning and patting my pockets to check for it when I'd leave the house. It's crazy!
