Surely everyone has ever noticed that when they are under cold temperatures and feel cold everything is really painful and uncomfortable, but they have wondered why that happens ?, because here we have the answer.
In our body there are a series of nerves called thermo-receptors, which are responsible for regulating the temperature; There are areas where these nerves are more concentrated, such as the ears, nose, hands and feet.

When the thermo-receivers detect a lot of cold, the body orders to protect the vital organs, due to this, it sends blood from the extremities to the trunk to warm them.

When the body orders to protect the organs with more blood, it generates an unfavorable cost for the nerves receiving the pain, since these are pressed against the surface and the skin becomes rigid due to the lack of blood, making any sensation much more painful.
