One Classic Movie.
They don't make movies like this anymore, half surprised that Hollywood haven't done a re-take/remake on this. They seem to redo a lot of movies, Cape Fear, War of the Worlds, King Kong to name a few.
Nothing quite like a musical fantasy movie, and in this movie from the 1930's which was based on the book by L. Frank Baum. We have Dorothy and her dog Toto, they are caught in a tornado, and just like a rabbit hole can take you to a magical place so too can a tornado.
This one takes them to the land Oz, only I didn't see a lot of beaches (an attempt at Aussie humour). In the land of Oz she meets both good people and bad people, it is a Hollywood movie after all. The only thing that Dorothy wants to do is return home, and there is only one person that may be able to help her.
The Wizard of Oz of course, so off she sets to find the wizard, she is joined on her journey by three friends. Here friends are the Scarecrow, who wants a brain, the Tin Woodman, who wants a heart, and the Cowardly Lion, who wants courage.
No surprise to ending, good triumphs over evil and everyone gets their wishes fulfilled, it is an entertaining journey on the way none the less, and suitable for the whole family.
