The Know Everything.
Be careful how you treat the Help, they will learn all of your secrets which they can use against you if they are so inclined, which means you no longer have any secrets.
This films is sent the deep South of America during the 1960's when the "Help" was predominately black and only treated marginally better than slaves. In this environment we have Skeeter who has just returned from college and wants to become a writer.
But what to write? She decides to write about what she has grown up with, life with the Help, only difference is, she wants to write it from the Help's point of view. At first no one wants to talk to her as it could mean jeopardising their jobs and exposing a lot of secrets about their privileged employers.
The first to open up is Aibileen, with resistance from her friends and co-workers, as the two continue to explore the stories other women come forward. Since some of them have worked for the same family for their entire lives, they have a lot to tell. New friendships are formed, and everyone in the town has something to say once the books is published, not all of it good.
If you are after a movie with a good story line, told very well along with decent character development, you should definitely watch this. The performance of all the cast is excellent, and you can feel the heat, and the feelings that people have towards the Help.
