No such thing as a bad student. A coming of age story, standing up to bullies, that shows true character is derived as much by what you don't do as it is by what you do, do. "Karate for defence only"

No Fear. This was done before a lot of the CGI these days and hence uses surf beaches for the settings for various action scenes. We do have plenty of action scenes, from bank robberies, various chases,

Nothing really special. Yes, this seems to be a typical follow the movies making script to earn some money without doing anything really new or different. They did inject a little humour into the movie

Hit your mark. This is better than some of your typical action movie in that it has a decent plot, plus of course lots of action. It does go into how patriotism can be used to have good men do questionable

War and the military machine. There are a number of indirect references to the second world war which suggest that it was inspiration for this movie. The movie isn't glorification of war, instead part

Can you trust you team members? DeNiro brings his A game to this movie, this contributes with the other characters, location, action and plot. It is almost a sum is greater than its parts type scenario.

Or maybe Detroit? A mid 1980's action comedy movie that did have high level of violence and colourful language. Eddie Murphy plays the role very, very well. This was possibly the role that made Eddie Murphy

When you get in the way, of the Government. Will Smith is usually quite good, and Gene Hackman has been doing excellent work for years. They are both helped by most of the other cast. This means that the

The classic movie This was of he first movies I saw at the cinema, can't remember what the first one was. Gene Hackman plays the role of Lex Luthor very well, plus he does have a few good lines. The special

How far would you go? Travolta and Cage turn in excellent performance in this slightly complicated, action thriller. It is fast enough and keeps you engaged for the full length of the movie, it is longer

Green Eyed Girls. This probably as close to a cartoon as you can get with out being a cartoon. It seems everyone in the film had a blast and didn't take it too seriously. The fight scenes were quite good

Another use for a Mall. Unlike some movies that build up to the big bangs this one jumps straight into the car crashes and explosions. The pace doesn't really let up until the characters get to the mall.

Can you see them? Not a bad action movie, instead of vampires among us we have aliens, and just enough of a plot to keep things semi interesting. It does appear to have been influenced by the excesses

Not your average vampire movie. I did quite enjoy this movie as it was slightly different take on your typical vampire movie. Are the "good" guys really good, or are they flawed? This movie does

A good family movie. Not an entirely new story, a child is born that will restore good to the world, and the current evil ruler wants to kill the child. While not a new story it is very much worthwhile

An action film without a break. The sound, music and lighting play together very well in this movie. They all combine to makes this one of the better action movies around, it wasn't as highly rated at

The 2002 version. "With great power comes great responsibility", one of the classic lines from this movie. This movie has been fairly well done. There is enough action to everyone happy along

The French version. In some instances the original is the best, the American remake wasn't in the same league, and the TV series not even close to the American version. This version manages to combine

Another Odd couple. One tough, one smart guy. In a rehash of partners from different backgrounds/skills that must work together or the bad guys win. Nothing really new about the plot, Hollywood do this

Which side are you on? This film does have a lot of special effects which are done well. This combined with the action and a reasonable story line do make this quite a good movie. In short, if you like
