Lets blow up Paris
This movie is set in the ghettos of Paris in 2010, a slightly different Paris than the one we all know. District 13 can not be controlled, so the authorities have built a wall around it. There are no police or any other services provided by the government within this district. Everyone within it's walls need to fend for themselves, this has of course has resulted in various criminal gangs controlling parts of the district.
A plot to detonate a bomb powerful enough to wipe out ALL of Paris not just district 13 has been uncovered, one of the questions is of course how did a bomb powerful enough to wipe out Paris get into district 13 and who put it there?
This results in a local police inspector and a district 13 member teaming up in order to bring peace to the troubled sector and solve the crime. This is not made any easier given that the district is also controlled by five different gang bosses.
The clock is ticking and the bomb must be found before the city's secret services take drastic measures to solve the problem irregardless of the impact or damage that could be done on district 13. Not everyone wants the police detective and his new ally to succeed.
The action scenes are the very good and on par with some from the matrix. The two leads are also martial arts masters. The plot is simple enough it does however have a few twists to it. In short worthwhile seeing.
