Overpopulation?
I saw this in the Cinema on the weekend, had a Village gift card that was going to expire end of of July. So off we went to the movies, it was a nice break, first time to the movies in over twelve months. I think the prices have gone up since I remember. I wouldn't be prepared to pay $44 for two adult tickets, especially when you consider a buy two get one free from JB HiFi, and the blue rays can be bought for less than $20 each. This means you get to own and watch three movies for $40. Anyway, enough of the price shock regarding the cinemas.
In this latest sequel we have the Avengers still split up, but they are willing protect the Earth if required. It begins where the previous movie left off. The Asgards are on their escape vessel, and have just encountered Thanos.
Even the Hulk is not match for Thanos, and apart from making an entrance in the beginning of the movie we don't see the Hulk again. Thanos is collecting all six infinity stones and already has a few. If he gets all six he will be able to do anything he wants without anyone being able to stop him. Considering how strong he already is it will take a truly combined effort from all the of the Avengers.
Even if they all work as a team and are united it may not be enough, with each stone Thanos acquires he gets stronger and more powerful. His ultimate goal once he has all six stones is reduce the entire galactic population by 50% thereby eliminating overpopulation and in his eyes saving every remaining being.
I was expecting the Avengers to pull it off as this is a big budget Hollywood movie, were they successful, you had better watch it to find out.
