TRY TO ANSWER THIS: DO YOU HAVE POTENTIALS?

Hello guys, I'd like to give y'all a story.

Once upon a time, I met a pretty, independence and very successful lady back in school and was inclined to walk with her. We went on along, because I never found the nerves to tell her my intentions. She seem to like me alot, that I don't still know why.. But that's not the point today.

At some point of beating around the bush, some guy overheard me say, "I like this young lady" and the guy said, u better be careful, she is engaged. That shocked me.. But I was determine to cause problem in the engagement. (I didn't even believe she was, cos she doesn't wear the ring about)

I still went about with her, never bringing up the topic. I thought if she is engaged, I better not let her know that I'm aware, after all, I was getting free courtesies.

But.. Ah, well I wanted more. So one night, when I went to pay her a visit in her hostel, I decided to pop the question. Yeah, the question.

With a frog voice and a little shivering I asked, "are you engaged"? "Some one said you are". Whether or not I made a mistake I said it already.. At least I'm a man right? (I half expected she would deny for me) she smile and looked me in the face and said "yes" after I explained where I heard it from sha.

When she noticed the sadness in my eye, cos' I was shocked that a girl like this was actually taken by a guy which could be undeserving. She added "Not like he is an old man.... He is just a young Guy with potentials" oh boy...

I left her that night asking myself, Do I have potentials? Can anyone look at me and say, he's got potentials.

Every time I'm face with threatening situations, I hear the questions echeo, can you be a a real man? Do you think you have what it takes to be a guy with potentials for your people?

To be honest, I was heart broken. But, I am more successful than I was before that question. I still pray that she should stop seeing the potentials in the guy and look up.. Cos' I have accumulated enough potentials.. Or I'm still packing it.
