The day that no one voted
The people were finally heard
They turned their backs on nonsense
Stopped believing in absurd
Notions of hope and change
And other worthless slogans
Spouting out from candidates
Like rapid fire blowguns
People helped each other
Finally understand
Withholding our consent
Is our one trump hand
Then there were the holdouts
Receiving government pay
And those expecting favors
Politicians gladly pay
Once we did the math
We knew they were outnumbered
Ten to one – so now we’re done
Finally unencumbered
With myths and propaganda
That said we need these posers
Sucking up to bankers
The worst of the brownnosers
We identified the ten percent
Still sucking on the teat
Blocked them from the voting booths
Until it was complete
Not a single vote was cast
In all of the elections
We were all now free
To go in all directions
People met their neighbors
Some for the first time
And worked out all their problems
Right there in real time
They gave the highest value
To each and every life
Seeking only harmony
Avoiding any strife
There was one last slogan
Engraved on every skillet
Enforced by all the mothers
“If it runs for office, kill it!”
