The rains have started in my country; they’ve been going on for a while now, and you can really see the difference in the vegetation. At the house where I grew up, there has always been plenty of space for plants, and today I’m sharing a photo of part of that area. We also have animals—chickens and rabbits—as well as other creatures living nearby, and I managed to snap a picture of a pair that wandered into the avocado tree...
While I was on my way to pick up my girlfriend, there was just one animal; then the other appeared, and I caught them both keeping each other company. They saw us—without fear—and we just watched one another; they stayed right there, catching their breath or resting, who knows, haha.
You can see that tree there—the one the bird is perched on—is an avocado tree; it gave us a good harvest a couple of months ago. It produces every year, and the neighbors keep an eye out so they can pick some. We’ve had it for about twenty years, and it always brings us joy in July.
Amidst all the overgrowth stood one of the plantain plants; at other times—when my dad has more time—he clears away the weeds and brush to focus on planting. He usually grows a lot of plantains, corn, and papayas, and sometimes pumpkins—which end up acting like weeds, though at least they produce fruit that we can actually eat.
There are also some lemon trees; Dad usually tells me not to pick the lemons during the day when it’s hot—that there’s a specific time to harvest them so the tree doesn't lose them. I don't know if that's actually true; the reality is that I usually grab them whenever I feel like it—especially when I want to use lemon—regardless of the time of day. Still, I try to stick to the recommended times. Besides, Dad often picks them and leaves them on the table for us to use. The yellow ones usually have the most juice; if you go to the supermarket, look for the yellow ones—if you squeeze them and they feel soft, they tend to be juicier than the others.

I’ll wrap things up here; there’s a lot of cleanup work to do and plenty of greenery growing thanks to the rains—and plenty of greenery I want to see in your posts and homes. May there be great prosperity, and may your plants grow and bear abundant fruit!
