Now that I think about it, I believe I was a bit too generous with my rating—haha! Honestly, for me, this film was a total disappointment; it doesn’t even feel like it was directed by Ben Affleck. Even so, I didn’t want to give it an extremely low score—as if it were an absolute disaster (though, in a way, it is)—out of respect for Ben Affleck’s career and body of work as a director. In fact, I actually prefer him as a director rather than an actor, but in this film, everything just goes off the rails; it even borders on the absurd. That said, there is another, even worse film that tackles the same subject: it’s directed by Spike Lee and titled Highest 2 Lowest (a remake of a Kurosawa film), and that one is, without a doubt, worse than this. It’s absolutely terrible.😆
