Interesting read in the link below. What is a Native versus Invasive? Dartmouth Professors found Indigenous knowledge essential to the conversation. Different worldviews shape ethical responses to change. And plant and animal populations change over decades, centuries and millennia.

The image above is Tropical Milkweed in our North Texas suburban garden. It's not native but provides a source of nectar for pollinators including the Monarch Butterfly. Yet, there is still controversy over it having a negative impact on Monarch butterflies. So the native plant conversation has real, local meaning for me.
