Howdy Fellow Steemit Users,
My name is Jeffrey Boyd Garrison (@JBGarrison72), male aged 45 (in case that wasn't fairly obvious), currently residing in Spokane, Washington State, USA and I've been lurking here on Steemit for about a year now (since September 2016). Having read several of ya'all's introductions, I decided it's maybe time for my intro post.
So, first off, I should probably state my main focus on Steemit at the moment: and that's to learn from you folks; to read, comment and upvote your posts, especially those you've made about subjects I'm interested in... some of which follow:
- Art & Crafts
- Cultures, Philosophies & Religions
- Esoterica & Occultism
- Fantasy & Science Fiction Literature
- Free Market Economy, Libertarianism & Voluntaryism
- Heraldry
- History
- Micronations
- Military and Warfare
- Music
- Tabletop Miniature Gaming
- Technology
- Video Games
Are any of those subjects a favorite pastime of yours? If so, I'd love to hear the latest buzz about it.
I also intend to make some blog posts of my own occasionally. Probably going to share some of my peculiar brand of art, wargame miniature photos and crafting projects... whatever seems like it might be legitimate eye candy. In this process, I'll value your comments greatly, even negative and critical feedback. I have a thick skin and do solicit your opinions because it will help me improve.
I might also post random thoughts and poetry if I get inspired (if I think some of you folks might find it interesting), maybe even the occasional meme.
In closing, here are a few arts & craft examples based on my interest in heraldry:
This is my dad's (Boyd Sylvester Garrison's) coat of arms which I painted in 2015.
And these are some toy wooden shields I painted up for my brother's (Travis Ray Garrison's) two young sons so they could represent with their own coats of arms while battling each other with foam swords.
