@wwwiebe, the bond we share with our non-human friends is such a pure, innocent, direct connection. They are such wonderful examples to follow in being authentic and uninhibited. And they are (therefore) just so darned lovable. It's very hard to see them suffering and to lose that joyful, uplifting daily presence in our lives, I feel.
