The Philippines was severely devastated by a super typhoon last December, particularly in the Visayas region, and our place was one of the seriously damaged. The fact that all of the basic utilities during that time were not functioning, as utility providers themselves were affected as well. There was no electricity for almost 3 months and since there is no electricity water supply was also affected as it depends on electricity.
However, locals in our village find ways, they flocked going to this flowing river to have a bath and to wash their clothes as it was all soaked due to heavy gusts of rain. Including myself went to this river to have a bath as well. But the water isn't suitable for drinking instead it's for taking a bath and for washing alone. Here are some of the snaps that I took.
As you can see there are lots of individuals who are washing their clothes, they even made a makeshift tent just to have shades. You might notice as well that there were kids who enjoyed taking a bath as it free flows the water current of the river.
While on the other side of the river were a lot more individuals lining up beside the river. Some of them were just fetching water just like these 2 individuals that are carrying water containers.
On the other hand, these kids really enjoyed bathing in the river free-flowing with the water current.
