Soul Connections - Thoughtful Daily Post

Throughout our lives we cross paths, connect and engage with countless people, I mean the number is impossible to fathom, but way down the road – a lifetime in, there is often only a handful of people who truly touch our lives and which we connect with on a soul level. Speaking from my own experience, these kinds of connections are rather difficult to explain in words because often, you cannot even explain it to yourself – it just is.

People are naturally drawn to one another by plenty other aspects, such as character, personal interests etc. You meet and then after some time you find that you get along well because your personalities complement one another or your shared interests keep that connection alive but this is not the kind of connection I am referring to.

Connecting with a person on a soul level I suppose, is a little bit like skipping past the introductions and pleasantries because the comfort experienced in the company of the other is like you have always known one another... like you have never skipped a beat in your lives, whether you have actually met or not, the connection is very strong.

The amount of people I have had this kind of connection with in my lifetime so far, I could count on one hand – if that. And I have noticed that the individuals are always such incredibly beautiful souls - truly, truly beautiful. My mother always said I had a handy knack of “picking out the strays in a room” lol – and she was not entirely wrong... although I probably would have phrased it slightly differently, haha! I have always somehow naturally gravitated toward individuals who generally don’t fit the mould - people who are often rejected or dismissed by society and ones which generally have a very interesting life story because they have gone through a lot. Most of these people have remained life long friends, and it is these “strays” who have ALWAYS been the people with which I have shared such an incredible connection.

Soul connections have true purpose in our lives. They add real value which surpasses small talk and surface level engagement. More often than not, you will connect with someone on a soul level when you need them most. You pull them into your vortex, so to speak. These kinds of relationships are a real part of our evolvement. There are no accidental meetings between souls.
