Money can make life easier and I think many confuse ease with happiness. Materialistic things cannot make us happy- not truly, in fact - mostly the opposite because the attainment of such things only makes us humans even greedier by default.

Happiness is an inside job and has absolutely no connection to anything man made.

Well, that is my take on it anyway.
