I would say that I speak about energy fairly often, not only around here but also in my 3D world. A few recent conversations have once again brought me back to think about this topic. There is much to be said for “what you think about you bring about” and whilst I fully agree with that statement, I have always taken that thought process one step further. It is not so much the thought or the words themselves but rather, the energy which they carry – so, I lean a little more toward the “what you feel, you bring about.”
I can definitely testify to this theory in my own life. I can remember feeling incredibly trapped by my lifestyle a few years ago. Not to say I was ungrateful for the relative success I had achieved or how blessed I was to even be in a position of business ownership, but the stresses carried were enormous and it mostly left me feeling completely and utterly depleted. Internally and energetically, I was so very desperate to get out of that repetitive rat race and I firmly believe that my VERY strongly driven FEELINGS which accompanied the thought in that direction is precisely what ended up making that change a reality.
In short – when you FEEL strongly toward something, the energy which that thought carries is incredibly powerful! I read something a little earlier and I have taken just a snippet of it to share with you because it literally made the hairs on my arms stand up at it’s absolute truth and accuracy.
when the moment of my past struck me, in its highest demonised form, I felt dead, like a dead-man walking in flesh without a soul, who had no reason to live any more. I no longer saw any meaning of life but then I saw no reason to die as well. I travelled to far away lands, running away from friends, family and everyone else and I confined myself to my thoughts, to my feelings and to myself. Hours, days, weeks and months passed and I waited for a moment of magic to happen, a turn of destiny, but nothing happened, nothing ever happens. I waited and I counted each moment of it, thinking about every moment of my life, the good and the bad ones. I then saw how powerful yet weak, bright yet dark, beautiful yet ugly, joyous yet grievous; is a one single moment. One moment makes the difference. Just a one moment. Such appears to be the extreme and undisputed power of a single moment. We live in a world of appearance, Abigail, where the reality lies beyond the appearances, and this is also only what appears to be such powerful when in actuality it is not. I realised that the power of the moment is not in the moment itself. The power, actually, is in us. Every single one of us has the power to make and shape our own moments. It is us who by feeling joyful, celebrate for a moment of success; and it is also us who by feeling saddened, cry and mourn over our losses. I, with all my heart and mind, now embrace this power which lies within us. I wish life offers you more time to make use of this power. Remember, we are our own griefs, my dear, we are our own happinesses and we are our own remedies.
Absolutely everything that unfolds in our lives is driven by the energy which follows feeling. When you fully process the magnitude of this it suddenly seems incredibly simple – and it is. When something good happens in our lives, when we experience elation and happiness that “feel good stuff” flows through us like a river without even giving it a second thought. When you “say” you want something to change in your life but you either don’t have any real emotion attached to it, or you feel nothing but the negativity it is unlikely to change. The example I mentioned above about my own life, it was not the negative emotions I felt, but rather the INCREDIBLY STRONG determination which was born from utter desperation for change. Determination is a force to be reckoned with and feeling that every single day catapulted me straight to where I wanted to be – the END of that particular part of the road.
Anything that you fight with or struggle against grows larger. You give power to lower energies by focusing upon them. You don't eliminate darkness by arguing with it. The only way to eliminate darkness is to turn on a light. - Doreen Virtue
