Exposed.

Naked. I stood - staring at my translucent reflection in the window as the sun pierced it’s rays through the blinding glass and landed in skewed directions on my skin. I saw myself, looked down upon it all – exposed, vulnerable, wanting, craving… intimacy. Reflections affording momentary distraction from the torment. Lost in the glare, I closed my eyes, pressed the volume up, found escape in its finest form and danced with abandon.

There is infinite freedom discovered which word simply cannot fit in those moments where one gets lost and absorbed in verve. My arms moved like liquid pouring from a cup over flowing - Seamless and fluid, moving with the air around me as if I were under water and able to breathe. Inhibition banished my body stirred – and so soul.

Lost and found all in a moment – “want and have” given, “crave and receive” granted – and I continued the passage of ecstatic escape. Once you truly let go, there really is no going back, because it envelopes your entire being. I place my hands on my hips and move them to the one swing of the music and then the other, run them up my torso and over my face, shoving them into the air out of sheer pleasure and simultaneous frustration.

Like a warm coat offered on a cold night, I felt the energetic approach from behind as I danced – first the shadow and then the cloak, the warmest shadow I have ever felt. I placed my arms around my own chest in anticipation of receive and I was – received – consumed. Still for but a moment, I turned – looked upward, raised my hands and placed my fingers through the shadow of yours – the only truth I have and for which I completely fail to recall that reality even exists.

Melted together in a symphony of tangible and intangible, we became! – sun’s rays hitting both , creating a collage and mirage of heaven. Timeless and everlasting, I can dance on endlessly.
