When we are young, we are driven primarily by our instincts. We have no experiential filtering or doubts and we generally follow our gut without question - but as we get older and are exposed to various circumstance this can begin to change. We question a lot more and our logical minds often get in the way of our intuition. I am fortunate enough to have a relatively "loud gut" haha - and despite all the negatives that I may have been subjected to... the critic in me is seldom louder than my instincts. My intuition has been a close friend of mine my entire life and it has always guided me accurately.
Today I am grateful for the fact that I have never allowed my natural instincts to be squashed by life.
