I believe many trends come in waves, including massive socio-political trends, like we are experiencing now, with our society being so divided. It seems to me that in some way there is a division between those who want true freedom (I.e. freedom from food insecurity, freedom to choose how we plan our families, and freedom from oppression based on race or belief system) and — on the other side — those who follow leaders that rant about “rights” and get a large following simply for galvanizing people around anger — and then label that freedom. It’s the current societal climate, and it will have its day. I believe it will ultimately pass. It’s not fun for anyone.
