Aw, you're such a dear heart, @samsmith1971! I know exactly what you mean about taking away from the reader's experience. Not my intention! I just like stories that are edgy, have something deep within that must be contemplated, and of course a conflict that requires a resolution. That said, I'm really trying to get more words moving and get less stuck on writing things that are profoundly contemplative. So a sweet moment between grandchild and grandfather was today's short creative outburst!
