This is awesome information, blockurator@blockurator. It is particularly relevant to me in my day job, where I am responsible for the company blog and social media. We create all original content. This has me thinking, though. I like the idea of bringing in other voices and insights.

One thing I don’t think I saw addressed was how much of a curated article you would want to include in a curated piece. I’m assuming that once you receive permission, you would want to intersperse excerpts with some commentary, and you wouldn’t reprint the original work in it’s entirety. Especially, of course, if you’re putting together a piece combining views from two or three different sources.

I like long content. I’ve become something of an expert at breaking it up with images, sub-heads, bullets and quotes. I think of it as an art. And I do like to check bounce rates and time on the page in Google analytics. It’s really fun to see the traffic and engagement on our site going up!
