Sometimes nature just takes my breath away. My sister and I visited a quaint little town to do some holiday shopping. The sky was so pretty that I suggested we take a walk along the lakeshore in the late afternoon.
I’m so glad we did. The very heavens were split open to let the sun’s rays through.
Now, I will tell you that I have a spiritual side, but I am in no way a religious person. And yet certain things, like glorious clouds, heavenly skies and really beautiful hymns will get to me, and for those few moments I feel the fire!
If you are wondering snit the odd muted appearance of some of the water, those area are covered by sheets of ice. The lakes are in the process of freezing over.
I could not stop taking pictures! The color and drama were amazing.
In this next picture, can you see the church steeple at the point? The church is certainly well placed to get its own share of those heavenly views!
We continued our shopping, and then a bit later we ran back to the lake for some sunset views, as the sky had turned an amazing golden hue.
Thank you for visiting! And thank you to @wesphilbin for hosting #thoughtfuldailypost!
